THE DALWHINNIE COMMUNITY ACTION PLAN

Planning authorities are obliged by law to decide planning applications in accordance with the “local development plan” for the area, unless there are good reasons for doing otherwise.

The local development plan for Dalwhinnie is prepared by Highland Council in consultation with the community council, who in turn consult the villagers, usually through an open meeting.

These local development plans are updated every few years, and a review of Dalwhinnie’s plan began in 2023 facilitated by Voluntary Action Badenoch and Strathspey (VABS),

A copy of the current draft of our local development plan, “Dalwhinnie Community Action Plan: Looking to 2030″, can be found by clicking on the link below. (Please note that this is a Word docx file, and so your device will probably need Word installed to open the file.)
